The Break.

There has been a break to my posts since the last days in the snow and fighting at university. Now exams are over and departure to our new adventure is in 4 days. Booom. Looking forward to that.

Pipe is on. Davos 6-14.2.2012

Now in Davos and riding pipe almost everyday. From midday till 4 o’clock, progressing and pushing my skills! I have to keept it up: First of all it’s just fun, I meet people everyday, old and new friends and it’s a good workout…. well, at least it is a bit better for my back than riding the kickers. After having the last pipe run, it’s time for a good beer with all the guys. Just a good time.

2nd. day

Piuuu Pizol 5.2.2012

We made this up one week ago, as we didn’t know it is going to be one of the coldest days ever! Never the less, Anja and me decided to go to Pizol, another new skiarea for me.
I went down to Sargans by the train, where Ani picked me up, with tea and croissant, whaat a nice service! This day we weren’t so lucky with transportation and infrastrukture: Almost didn’t get the train, police in the back while makin strange manouvres, forget to pay the parking, Anjas parking skills… But he, in the end everything worked out and we had an awsome day! Empty slopes, sun shining, a good load of fun and just good company.
After takin the last Chairlift up and having the last run, we went over to Landquarts Alpenrhein Village. Saying hello to my old workmates and shopping at Ripcurls.
For the end of the day, we planed to enjoy some wellness and spa, but as we stood there and they say “It’s FKK this evening”, we decided to catch up later on this and go for a yummy dinner.

First day of freedom. Balmberg 3.2.2012

Finally all my exames are tru!  Despite I have no good feeling about most of em, maybe it’s just a good portion of pessimism. We’ll see in march. Never the less, the last 4 weeks have been a torture and me life just restarted now:

Very spontanious day trip to Balmberg. Actually, it’s the nearest from basel, not quite one hour: Meet up at 10 o’clock at Joggeli parking and hitting direction Solothurn with Madlaine. It was a cold cold, but funny day. We found some forgotten powder at the small and familiar Ski…eeh area (resort would be overdosed).

Life is too good to sit weeks over weeks in a room!

 

Silvester, Arosa. 2012

Late arrival at Arosa, yea I forgot my phone and the travelling dured 3h feom Davos..

While drinking munggepumpf and cooking fine dinner for everyone, playing games we ha a good time. Snowballing and cheering at 00:00 at the Postplatz, just to go to bes early and have….

… Probably the best szart into 2012 ever!! Half a meter powder, firstchair on tschuggen ost and bluebird! Increddible runs, at least one comin into my Top3 powder runs, some frontflips and yes my first backflip : ) we’ve been a really fun group for riding… Please again.

What’s up next? Learningprocess.

Nordic And Grüsch. 22.12.2011

Martina and Dani Luck joined me in Davos. Powder nordic, can you imagine? At least we kept trying for 3 hours with stops at Plaza and Montana after. The evening we went spontaniously down to Chur for a chilli evening and the day after riding Grüsch with Joller. Again a new skiresort, small, familiar but potential for some good runs. Tough it rained a bit into the new snow it was a niice day.

Merry Christmas !!! As I’ll enjoy family athmosphere and good dinner in Davos.

Oh my god, it just won’t stop dumping as I look out the window now!

This morning Luc and Fabi came over to Klosters, riding Gotschnawald. After having a hard time to get up, I joined them. So worth it! I’ve hardly seen so much snow and I guess never been riding in such deep powder… Those intense runs are not to describe with words. I tried so with the sentence: “With that morning, we just definded ‘fun’..”

Overcast conditions today, so I decided to try my new loooove: A Jones Solitude Splitboard and it’s a blast!!
I hiked up Jackobshorn till Fuxäguver in 2h and went down again after a rest.

It’s easy to disassable, great to walk and hike with, fast to put together and really nice to ride with.

I have never been smiled at and greeted more often then today. Chilli.

Been up to Davos with my “Ex-WG-Gspändli” Nadia, thank you for your visit: It was pretty fun to go outside for some nordic action and ridin Jackobshorn while it was dumping on and on.

Pitztal. 25.11.2011

3 Days Pitztal with the Unisport and a couple of sportstudents, means a lot of fun, party and snowboarding on the glacier.
Getting there by bus on Friday morning  6a.m. shredding the half day and straight to apres ski, superfine dinner at the 4 star hotel, sauna and party at the Hexenkessel. sleep. repeat.
