Weekly Impressions.

Seminyak.

‎23.06.11 – After sleeping till 11:00 we picked up Jonis girl Loux from the airport. Got another scooter and held on riding north and finally got to Seminyak. Still lot’s of amis and aussis but less chaos than Kuta. We tried to get that one Villa with pool Seraina told me, but it was full so we found something else, this really really nice bungalow or should i call it villa ?

That’s where we gonna stay for the first week.

Yeea, first bali surf today: with our new surfboards at sunset.. Awsome! My Very first wave got me thrilled already : )

24.06.11 – Soul chilling and surf today. We went back to Kuta in the afternoon to get a surfstick for Loux and after had dinner at a local indonesian resturant Jonas from the shop told us: The “Fajar”… was absolutely delicious and it costed 7.50 chf …. for the three of us together!!!

26.06.11 – We met another friendly soul on the beach today, Sony from Java is a local with his chair buisness, living a stressless life with surf, relax and beach tennis. He wrote us a map to all related surfspots and accomodations, told us funny stories, served coke & beer and watched our stuff while surfing. Life is so slow around here and a chilling vibe is to find everywhere.
I was having first try with a Warung, fresh prepared meal from the back of a bike, costed me 1 chf and was yumm (but damn hot spicy!). Words of the day: Chilli and same same but diffrent

27.06.11 – Todays’ word: scooter. It was a rainy morning, and after lowtide… so we decided to go north the coast with the scooter and see some living and landscape. Well it was a crazy ride: so much chaos, so much not knowing where this road goes, so long time for so short distance.  Poor little Balinese almost drowned with his scooter : )

28.06.11 – Early surf in the morning for me and meeting Sony and Aang for a talk. Later that day it was time for chill at villa or beach and having a pinapple for take away, so yumm !! Another highlight of the day: Loux, Joni and I got some massage, why the hell didn’t we do that earlier and more ?? But we can get used to this by now..

First days Bali

We arrived yesterday at Bali airport and went straight to Kuta by taxi after bargaining hard! The men told us a bungalow accomodation where we’re staying for those 2 nights, sureley overpaid but not to bother us at all…
Unbeliveble what storys i now (!!) already can tell… here’s a few:

– Met a local at a ripcurl shop who takes us to secret spot
– Joni an I both buyed a surfboard at Hot Banana from Karlito and Rico.
Jo a 5.8 x 19 3/8 x 2 1/2 Pintail, Me a 6.2 x 19 x 20 1/2 Fish
– Crazy tripple scooter ride with Jah and got rentals from him
– Crazy scooter ride by ourselfes! Those streets are like a battlefield thrown in a huge Labyrinth.

This won’t take an end…
Guess we’re going north tomorrow, out of that vast tourists floated center and surely for a surf…

Off to another world…

All things packed and ready for kick off. Gonna meet Jo at the airport and we’re off to Indo.. Heeeeell yea, surf’s up. I Guess I won’t get that smile off, especially cause of my very last encounter : )

Update.

Summary of the past few weeks:

– Workout and Paddeling every second day (more or less..)

– Trying to get all my stuff togehter for the Indo-trip.

– New haircut, for not having hair tips pricking in my eyes.

– Got the Nordic Walking instructor.

– Had the opportunity to take a closer look at “Kindersportschule.ch” and have a talk with it’s owner, lookin forward to get into this project next fall.

– X-Mas today: My new Canon Ixus 220 HS arrived, awsomee !! you’ll see… Some boardshorts, surf watch and sunglasses. Guess I’m fully equipped now.

Can’t wait to get this trip started !! Counting the days since France, now there are only 12 left….
