Zurich 29.04.2011

Went to Zurich yesterday to visit Oakley people and went for lunch with Django. It’s good to see these people from time to time… My old team in LQ I’m going to see at 15th Mai for a team event!
Later that day I was given a small zurich-tour and enjoyed the lake side with my lovley companion (first ice this year!). It was a beautiful evening : )

Rhein Paddling 25.04.2011

Claudi and I went for a paddle session in the Rhein.. Aiiii it was pretty damn cold without the wetsuit!!!
I think i catched a cold… Doh!

Short trip France 2011

What a week! It has been so good to be on these roads again, we thought we wouldn’t make it to france this year…. But we did!! Surf was a fight, as we haven’t been ready for it for sure, but fun fun fun:

Pretty good ride down to Bordeaux, except an early crash from a Truck, damn he lumbered the wood!! 9 hours.

– Day 1: Arrival in Le Pin Sec 00:50 and we went to the beach to chek the ocean… Great feeling! Sleepin at the car (joni oitside after 5 min) was ok.

– Day 2: Surf was messy and chaos. So we decided to go for chill breakfast (honey pops) and drive to Dune de Playa…. Haha, that fat dune is fun!!!
Ride on till Mimizan, MacDonalds for Wireless and first surf.. Pretty huge waves and heavy, well the week should get better…

– Day 3-4: we checked in on a camping for two nights. Surfing our spot at the Parking, walking through the village and making the sickest grill-dinners you can imagine!!! 1-2 beers and enjoying life….. Marvelous.

– Day 5-6: we left Mimizan early saturday and stopped at St.girons next. Homebase with Jonis Peugeot was at a empty carparking in the woods… Pure natur!!! Sleeping outside was nice (and fresh on the nose sometimes). Good thing that the market opened that weekend… BBQ as usual and the surf was still big, but we did our best an had some waves to ride and lot lot more paddle training, as that was good too!

– Day 6-8: A easy drive up till Lacanau, beautiful village, with good italian restaurant and a nice camping (even when it turned out to be a crazy labyrinth). Best surf conditions for the week, we catched some good waves and got the feeling back on.. Yea that trip was sooo worth it.
8 hours back to Switzerland, Basel

There was no day, wait, no minute.. where we did not enjoy the time down there. For me, this is a good sign to be in Indonesia with Joni, we are going to have a blaaaast there!! I’m so excited to go there..

Thank you Joni! It was epic.

Cut ! – Surf’s Up !!

okok, got some news: Joni and I decided to put those snowboards away and go for a early surf. He’s having another week of holidays, and me nothing better to do. So take off will be on Tuesday, we’re gonna be on the road with Jo’s Peugot 4007 sw, all boards and camping stuff in the trunk, ready to rip. Destination: France – Westcoast – anywhere we want : )

This is gonna be a warm up for Summer, where those two gringos…. gonna be at an Indonesia trip for about 8 weeks. This year’s gonna be epic!

Danjo Home Alone 3. – 9.4.2011

Last day.

Well it was time for the last day. Normally season’s gonna end way later, but this year was just to warm, little snow and spring snow since february…. So, small dress up with jean-marc an ridin and chill (first heavy sunburn of the year) including simone and cyrill, daniela and some people at toralpbar.
Hopefully next winter is going to be epic with POWDER !!! Luc told me !!!!

Now lookin forward to Danjo home alone part 3… Brrra!

J+S Technik. Andermatt 27.03-02.04.2011

Last week the technik modul was  my next step from my snowboard education (J+S and Swiss Snowsports).  Everything done and past. But not just because of that it was worth it, gosh we had a blast that week: super gentle and nice people, all the same goal: having a good time and push eachother : )

After all theorie class and snowboard practise, a normal day ended with chillin in the lounge, ping-pong sessions, skate sessions, couple beers and talks. Awsome.

I’m pretty sure that I’m gonna see all those people again and stay in conntact. Some in Basel, some at the slopes or camps, or a skate-session maybe ?!?! be prepared…
