Week 3.

We stayed the whole week, 10 nights to be correct at Popoys’. It’s a easy life with not much more to do than surf and after, to wait for the tide to raise again.
It was also a good time to read in a hamock and get some thoughts together. After dawn we most times went for a early dinner, at Nicos Pizza place p.e. Muuui rico!!
It’s only getting crowded on the weekends, and therefor something is going oooon, live band y musica…. And dani playing the guitar, pluged-in an with microphone…. In front of a huge group of people count to 6. : )

The parrots stopped theire noisy buisness in the morning after a creapy ceremony by some nica priests… And the dog stoped yelling because of luc and me throwing stones. All god in te end.

Only the crowds at Popoyo break turned us to leave at friday early in the morning. The guy called Tom from Zürich gave us a ride to Rivas in his Ford Bronco… Here comes the news: we buyed a bus ticket to Panama City! Ou yeah! So on 1. August we’re off and for the next couple days, we’re staing in San Juan del Sur again, for some civilized company… Yeah, sure : )

Week 2.

-Playa Santana is a beachbreak with several peaks, fast and a bit barreling. But for those 4 nights of our stay the swell was not perfekt, so what, we surfed it anywey as much as our arms managed it!
– Joe and Rinas Sandbar beach Cafe was right next to our hostel in front of the beach, whitch became our #1 place to hang out, have a surf talk, chill in a hammock and of corse enjoying fish tacos and cold beer. The best thing, always in good company. What an amazing place, and thanks to be ones of your first customers : )
– We went to Rivas the other day with a chicken bus, of whom we waited for 45′ and was a hell if a ride. Squized to surely too many people for about 1.5h and why the hack are those Nicas mostley all obease?! So after we managed it to get some money in town and buyed some nutrition we shared a taxi with an Argentino-Surfer and arrived to Popoyo, to check out our new hostel and walk back to Santana on te beach.
– The next morning, off to Popoyo!
A good and nice breaking wave, consistent and average size: good for practice and it’s fun!! We stay in a hostel closest to the break, called Tica #2. Sleepinh in a sauna and freakin parrots in the morning but the all the rest is perfect. We may stay here for a while, there should be really good waves on the weekend…
– One day in paradise: pancakes for breakfast, #1 surf session of the day, burger for lunch, chill in the hammock, #2 surf session, banana shake for recovery, get a shower and ready for dinner.

Week 1

So, we finally arrived in San Jose Costa Rica. The flight was pretty hard: noisy kids, too small seats with no entertainment system, but we did it! We overpaid the taxi to the busstation way to much and had small problems with getting the right bus to nicaragua boarder. At least the seat in the bus where much more confortable than in the airplane and we arrived in San Juan del Sur after a total journey of 36h!
– Off to the Naked Tiger Hostel, party is on! First night on the couch then in the garage, which was good because less loud musik in the night : ) We had some funny day to the hill there and went the first couple times to different beaches with the shuttle.
– 8. July my Birthday, once again in a foreign country. We couldn’t surf, ’cause of a shit swell, but I enjoyed easy life at the hostel, a bull rodeo in te afternoon, a rainy walk home (crossing elephants) and an really fun evening, when getting filled up… You cunts ; )
– I cannot tell how many people we’ve already met, it’s amazing! We walked up to the Jesus State with Aaron and Max from California and had an incredible view over the small town.
The other day, we couldn’t go anywhere because all taxi gringos were rebelling against hostel-shuttels… Yea so our group managed it to get in town by car and feet. We took a Boat with Jonathan and his Broter Brian for one Day to Playa Hermosa and had some surf oerthere. Booom.
– Two more nights at Tres Hermanos at the Playa Maderas right in front of the Beach with the two nice girls from NZ, Tanya and Leila who joind us. That’s how it feels to hear the ocean 10m in front if you while sleeping. Incredible and the early surf was quit fun! Stay tuned for some footage!
– Now we’re chiiling at Playa Santana, just arrived yesterday. It was a short ride with the Chicken Bus to Rivas and a taxi further way. The Buena Onda Resort from a nice Swiss owner is full right now, so we’re staying nearby in a beachfront hostel: sweet, I tell you. We had 3h surf in the morning and are waiting now for some fish-tacos. Life’s good!

Stay tuned!
